- Responsible for managing all personnel on nursing unit(s).
- Promotes professional growth of staff.
- Demonstrates creative and safe staffing management.
- Maintains productivity level.
- Ensure that Quality Patient Care is provided on units
- Prepares, analyzes, reviews and monitors operational and capital budgets for assigned unit(s).
- Coordinates and promotes Performance Improvement plan in unit.
- Promotes Balanced Scorecard.
- Promotes customer satisfaction within unit.
- Communicates effectively with staff.
- Represents the Philosophy of Nursing and Administration.
- Participates in ongoing educational activities for Specialty area as well as management seminars.
- The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed :
- Current Florida RN License required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
- Three (3) years of management experience in
- Operating Room
- required
- Five (5) years of nursing experience required with demonstrated leadership and management ability preferred.
- MSN preferred
- CNOR must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Demonstrates proficient use of English language in verbal and written form.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements.

The nurse manager is responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, coordinating and evaluating the management & clinical practice activities for the nursing unit(s) under his / her charge. He / she assumes 24 hour accountability for the OR and anesthesia departments for optimum quality patient care is delivered and staff is developed to exert care in a professional and caring manner. May be required to take call for the department.
