Schedule: Full Time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts

Shift: Night 7pm-7am (with alternating weekends)

The community you’ll be caring for:

• The Medical Progressive Care Unit is a 36-bed PCU that cares for patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, heart failure, and multi-organ complications who require close monitoring but don’t need full ICU care.
• This is a fast-paced and supportive unit with exposure to a broad range of complex conditions making every shift unique. The nurses on this unit have high critical thinking skills and are proficient in early detection of patient deterioration.
• Medical PCU experience is highly valuable for those interested in transitioning to ICU, ER, flight nursing, or advanced practice roles like Nurse Practitioner (NP) or CRNA. Experience in PCU and complex patient management also makes you highly competitive for specialty certifications like PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse).

The role you’ll contribute: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within a patient care unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities.

• Demonstrates effective assessment skills to ensure quality patient care is provided.
• Performs and documents accurate initial assessment per unit standard.
• Observes and monitors patient lab work for trends and reports abnormal lab tests to the appropriate physician and obtains appropriate interventions.
• Utilizes clinical data to implement appropriate interventions.
• Performs and documents ongoing patient assessment.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Graduate of school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree or diploma.
• Active Florida RN license or active multi-state RN license

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelors (BSN) degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.53 - $45.05 per hour
