The role you’ll contribute:
The Director participates in leadership of the Department of Mission and Ministry, including department-wide planning, implementing, and evaluation; directs the Clinical Pastoral Education program, including recruiting, selecting and evaluating CPE students, managing human resources, budget, facilities, and long and short term planning; maintains good standing accreditation standards for the CPE program at FH as outlined by ACPE, Inc., our accrediting body. The Director maintains good working relationships with ACPE, Inc. for purposes of enhancing program functioning and application of standards; coordinates the clinical needs of CPE students with the department staff on all campuses in the system where CPE is present; and collaborates with the Director and leadership of Pastoral Care leadership for the benefit of pastoral care services and education. Oversees pastoral education projects as initiated by the department. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Participates in leadership activities of the Department of Mission and Ministry, including visioning, planning, implementing, evaluating of programs and initiatives, selection of personnel; accepts assignments of specific projects by VP for Mission and Ministry.
- Rotates administrative on call duties with departmental leaders.
- Oversees the Clinical Pastoral Education program, including supervisors and students, maintaining of programs, relationships with administration and staff chaplains, policies and procedures, recruitment and admissions processes, center files, accreditation issues. This oversight encompasses our new ACPE accreditation status for our CPE center across the AdventHealth West Florida Division markets.
- Coordinates CPE programs and personnel with rest of Pastoral Care programs and personnel for the sake of quality and quantitative pastoral care services, department accountabilities quality indicators, and DNV processes.
- Proposes and oversees annual budget and Medicare reimbursement.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Master’s degree or min of 72 hours of graduate level theological education
- Minimum of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education units required for full ACPE Certified Educator certification process.
- Certification as a CPE Certified Educator by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (upon hire)
- Ecclesiastical endorsement (upon hire)
- Ordained minister in good standing with faith group (upon hire)
