The role you’ll contribute:
The communications coordinator is a key member of AdventHealth's marketing and communications team. The communications coordinator leads out in the campus social media strategy and execution across the Georgia market, as well as creates newsletters and other communication mediums for internal and external audiences. The communications coordinator also serves as the market lead for communications on AdventHealth's intranet site.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Utilizes weekly/monthly communications toolkits to disseminate information across the market in a timely and effective manner.
- Writes press releases for Georgia Market for new physicians, events, hospital or service line awards, and anything else that is newsworthy. Distributes news releases to appropriate news outlets and posts them on Connect (intranet).
- Writes articles including but not limited to: market-level articles about service lines, hospitals, physician practices, articles for special sections of local newspapers, magazine articles, and more.
- Project manages campus event coverage and event photography. Shares coverage of campus events, but when schedules prevent coverage, ensure someone else is covering the event.
- Plan, write and edit daily social media posts on multiple channels for multiple audiences. Scheduling and posting daily content to our current social media pages.
- Work with corporate, division and local marketing teams to create and deliver content that elevates the AdventHealth brand.
- Responsible for understanding and utilizing social media message matrix for social reputation management and effective crisis communication including follow up with the appropriate teams to ensure issues are addressed.
- Helps generate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual social media reports on the development and progress of our social media platforms and incorporate optimization strategies and analyze data.
- Ensure copy is written in AdventHealth’s brand voice and imagery/video meets brand standards.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
- Bachelor Degree in Journalism and Communications or related field AND at least 1 year experience
- Healthcare experience preferred
