The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for performing ultrasound exams and documenting proper charges while supervised by credentialed sonographer

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performs standard US examinations and has all exams checked by credentialed sonographer prior to patient leaving department.
- Schedule patients for examinations.
- Assist with evaluating the nature of critical and emergency procedures, and rearranging patients scheduled to accommodate them.
- In performance of ultrasound examinations, receive patient, explain method of procedure, select proper transducer, follow set protocols and scan appropriately as indicated by clinical diagnosis.
- Recognize abnormalities while scanning and make appropriate exposures.
- Present diagnostic sonograms and paperwork to the radiologist with appropriate patient history for review to allow for further scanning and to avoid repeat scans.
- May assist credentialed sonographer with “on-call” exams.

Minimum qualifications :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- Enrolled in accredited sonography program and in their 2 nd year
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
