The role you’ll contribute:
The Service Line Coordinator supervises and coordinates patient care delivery on the assigned units and is accountable for meeting standards. The Service Line Coordinator supports the assigned unit by planning, directing, and evaluating all service functions and activities for the assigned patient care specialty to ensure delivery of optimal available quality patient care and organizational effectiveness.
Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Provides guidance in the delivery of care and practice within the clinical unit. The Service Line Coordinator ensures efficient patient and case flow throughout the shift by continually assessing the progress of cases and the staffing levels.
The Service Line Coordinator participates in unit employee selection through interviewing and the hiring process. Oversees orientation, training and education of new personnel and ongoing staff development. Assists Leadership with unit budget/cost containment and labor tracking. Assists in the development, implementation and tracking of unit Performance Improvement Metrics and action plans. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Participates in the disciplinary process with staff making recommendations for improvement and development of action plans. Follows up on all educational and disciplinary action plans with staff.
- Educates, validates and ensures accountability of all Patient experience tactics.
- Participates and ensures that rounding for outcomes occur daily.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- High School education or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Course.
- Able to precept and act as resource person and preceptor in multiple surgical specialties.
- Five years’ experience as a CST.
- Current CST/ Certified Surgical Assistant.
- AHA BLS.
