The role you’ll contribute:
Behavioral Research Scientist I is responsible for collaborative development, implementation, and evaluation of whole-person, behavioral health research studies. As Principal Investigator and/or Sub- Investigator, with mentorship as needed, Behavioral Research Scientist I is responsible for study design and protocol implementation, regulatory compliance, recruitment of study participants, data analysis, and peer-reviewed dissemination. Under direction of senior research staff, Behavioral Research Scientist I is able to navigate operational logistics to overcome recruitment obstacles. Behavioral Research Scientist I provides simple consultations to novice scientists and students on study feasibility and logistics. Behavioral Research Scientist I conducts biomedical database literature searches and information synthesis in support of departmental activities. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful of all.

- Develops, refines, and implements research projects in alignment with department and organizational priorities.
- Oversees study protocol compliance and execution as Principal Investigator.
- Analyzes and interprets data using statistical software packages such as SPSS.
- Works with project managers to coordinate study logistics and recruitment.
- Authors/co-authors articles for publication in peer-reviewed publications and presentation at scientific symposia and conferences.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Master’s degree in healthcare, psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of health-related research experience.
- Minimum of 1 peer-reviewed publication, as first, last, or corresponding author, within the last 12 months.
