You Will Be Responsible For:
Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth’s core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork.
- Business Development (20% of role) – Recruit and manage territory growth and development, generate leads to recruit additional providers and outpatient entities into CMI initiatives, pitch and present to leadership and providers, market expansion and onboarding to mission initiatives, utilize clinical best practices integrated into mission, drive core CMI metrics, manage, implement and sustain CMI initiatives.
- Patient Support (10% of role) – track referrals from territory sent for Spiritual Counseling, ensure and track Spiritual Care Plan is returned to provider, maintain accurate documentation of spiritual care referrals, maintain network of spiritual support for patients.
- Practice / Outpatient Entity Support (60% of role) – Provide training and deliver ongoing support for providers and/or staff to conduct screening spiritual assessments, assist in development and ongoing support of Spiritual Care Teams, mentor and support the Spiritual Care Coordinators to lead their Spiritual Care teams, participate in Spiritual Care Team Huddles monthly to quarterly as indicated, collect and report stories that highlight mission integration impact, maintain log of practice / outpatient entity visits by date, adhere to required metric accountabilities and data collection set forth by IHS leadership, implement and support additional mission-based initiatives, such as, but not limited to CREATION Health, Spiritual ambassadors and Spiritual Leadership Development.
- Community Support (10% of role) – Establish relationship with diverse community faith leaders to create a network of spiritual support for patients, liaison with hospital chaplains for continuity of patient’s spiritual care on admission and or transition of care to and from hospital, participate in mission-based community activities related to CMI.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
Required:
- Associate degree or 3 years of business development, territory management and/or training experience
- 5 years’ experience in the hospital and/or outpatient clinical setting
- Florida Driver’s License
Preferred:
- 5 years’ experience providing outpatient practice management support
- Bachelor’s Degree
Job Summary:
The CMI Specialist is responsible for delivering spiritual care in the Integrated Health Services (IHS) outpatient setting through consultative promotion, training, and approved in-practice mission initiatives in the assigned territory. This includes training providers and outpatient entities to conduct Faith in Practice spiritual screening assessments and developing and supporting Spiritual Care Teams. The CMI Specialist will continue to expand their territory through recruiting and business development activities such as generating new leads, presenting CMI initiatives to key leaders and providers, maintaining relationships and following up after presentation(s). The CMI Specialist will also train, implement and support additional CMI initiatives such as CREATION Health, Spiritual Ambassadors, and Spiritual Leadership Development as indicated by IHS leadership and the local CMI Manager and/or Director. CMI Specialist will manage their territory to maximize growth of CMI initiatives. The CMI Specialist will conduct regularly scheduled practice visits and maintain documentation of field activity by managing and tracking required metrics. Additionally, the CMI Specialist will establish relationships with diverse community faith leaders to create a network of support for patients in their chosen faith tradition.
