The role you’ll contribute:
The RIO Tech II works under the direct supervision of the Professional Nurse, assisting in performing specific duties to provide quality patient care. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Intakes pre-op patients. Properly identifies patients and applies ID and allergy bands.
- Obtains vital signs, height, weight, and allergy list. Assists patient to assigned bed.
- Orients patient to assigned bed area.
- Assists in the preparation of charts and makes rounds on nursing units to obtain empty charts.
- Assists HUC with clerical functions as requested.
- Transports patients to and from other departments and to discharge area.
- Assist with answering call lights, answering telephone calls, and keeps supplies stocked as needed.
Qualifications

- BLS
The expertise and experiences preferred:
- Bilingual Preferred
- Hospital Experience Required
- Medical Experience
- Patient Care Tech Experience
