Schedule: Full Time
Shift : 4 10-hour shifts weekdays (with call on evenings and weekends)
The community you’ll be caring for: 60 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida 32164
The role you’ll contribute: Performs a wide range of technical skills, which are utilized during a variety of Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients.

- Follows CDC isolation guidelines, appropriately uses PPE, and performs hand hygiene according to accepted standards of care. Identifies and prepares patient using aseptic technique as dictated by procedure ordered. Exhibits awareness of hazards which may endanger patients. Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations. Annually meets all required department specific competencies
- Verifies orders and facilitates implementation, communicating with physician as needed. Performs treatments and administers medications according to policy and training. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications. Performs within the bounds of the applicable scope of practice for Cardiovascular Invasive Lab Technologists. Facilitates timely patient throughput
- Produce an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions. Maintains authenticity and security of the record, and follows prescribed process for amending documents
- Performs effectively in all three procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals Scope of Practice. Proficiently performs all cardiac and vascular procedures allowed in an AHCA Level I Adult Cardiovascular Services licensed facility. Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) within 30 minutes
- Learns and upgrades skills. Supervises other healthcare team members in the clinical setting.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications :
- Associate in Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Radiologic Technology or Respiratory Therapy Technology or Respiratory Therapy
- Advanced levels of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation
- Electrophysiology diagnostic procedures
- Interventional radiology procedures
- Peripheral diagnostic procedures
- Peripheral interventional procedures
- Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation
- Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy
- Knowledge of Vascular anatomy
- Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and physiology
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
- Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment
- BLS
- ACLS
- Must possess and maintain one of the following:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Registered Technologist - Radiography (RTR)
- Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic (NREMT-P)
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Radiologic Technology or Respiratory Therapy
- Cardiovascular Lab experience
- Interventional Radiology Lab experience
- Peripheral Lab experience
- Knowledge of advanced levels of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation
- Knowledge of electrophysiology diagnostic procedures
- Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures
- Knowledge of peripheral diagnostic procedures
- Knowledge of peripheral interventional procedures
