Schedule: Full Time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts
Shift: Night 7pm-7am (with rotating weekends and holidays)
The community you’ll be caring for:
- The Neurosurgical Progressive Care Unit is a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit that works with complex neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injuries, post-op neurosurgery patients, and spinal cord injuries.
- This is a fast-paced and intellectually stimulating unit. Neuro patients can change rapidly, requiring critical thinking, problem solving, and close collaboration with neurosurgeons and a multidisciplinary team.
- Our Neuro nurses become experts in neurological assessments, early recognition of deterioration, and managing intricate care plans. These skills are highly transferable to ICU, CRNA, or advanced practice roles.
The role you’ll contribute: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within a patient care unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities.

- Demonstrates effective assessment skills to ensure quality patient care is provided.
- Performs and documents accurate initial assessment per unit standard.
- Observes and monitors patient lab work for trends and reports abnormal lab tests to the appropriate physician and obtains appropriate interventions.
- Utilizes clinical data to implement appropriate interventions.
- Performs and documents ongoing patient assessment.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Graduate of school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree or diploma.
- Active Florida RN license or active multi-state RN license
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelors (BSN) degree
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Stepdown
- Intermediate Care
- ACLS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.53 - $45.05 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
