The role you’ll contribute :
Perform specific tasks or routines supportive to delivery of patient care in the assigned nursing unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse in accordance with Division of Nursing standards.
The value you’ll bring to the team :
- Responsible for assisting the charge nurse and/or primary nurse with patient care throughout the department as assigned
- Assists and coordinates the immediate off-load of patients arriving via EMS with the primary nurse and/or charge nurse
- Collaborates with the primary nurse to assist in the implementation of appropriate physician orders to expedite patient care
- Obtains specimens within a timely manner of arrival
- Promptly notifies the physician and/or primary nurse of untoward changes in a patient’s condition
- Monitors cardiac/telemetry status and vital functions of all patients
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
- EMT - Emergency Medical Tech
