Nurse Practitioner (NP), ARNP, or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
General Summary
The APP, under the supervision of Physicians, is responsible for:
- Performing physical examinations of patients, assessing, and treating injuries or illnesses for pediatric through geriatric patients, including women's health
- Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
- Independent and collaborative medical management of acute and chronic conditions
- Monitoring the patient's course of treatment and making appropriate referrals to either a physician or specialist, as needed
- Collaborating with physician supervisors and staff, as necessary, to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
- Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times and maintaining personal and professional growth

Education and Experience Required
The following qualifications are required:
- A Master's degree in Nursing (FNP) or Physician Assistant studies
- A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical practice experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, preferably
- Experience treating patients of all ages and a variety of acute and chronic conditions is highly preferred
Licensure, Certification, and Registration
The successful candidate must hold:
- A current, valid Florida APRN or PA-C license
- A current, valid DEA license
- ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA (or equivalent) certification
- A current BLS requirement; ACLS preference
