The role you’ll contribute:
The Dispatcher coordinates routine and STAT specimen pickups for FHL Outreach Clients and Florida Hospital Labs. The Dispatcher receives and documents calls using the FHL electronic logistics system. The position is responsible for printing FHL requisitions and receiving and entering supply requests into the electronic logistics system. The Dispatcher fills and packages supplies for client delivery and is responsible for communicating product inventory status to the Department Lead or Manager. The Dispatcher may be required to transport laboratory specimens or supplies to clients when needed. The position requires the exercise of independent judgment under supervision. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

- Coordinate routine and STAT specimen pickups for FHL Outreach Clients and Florida Hospital Labs
- Receive, document, and fill supply order requests for client delivery
- Performs various clerical duties as assigned
- Assists with new employee orientation for department
- Provides resolution to customer service issues within guidelines, referring issues appropriately to administrative staff for follow-up
- Adheres strictly to Florida Hospital Compliance Plan and the rules and regulation of applicable regulatory authorities; protects confidentiality of patient information and results at all times.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications :
- 6 months of phone based customer service experience
- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Florida Class “E” and driving record in accordance with Florida Hospital Policy
Preferred qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six months experience in Clinical Laboratory or general Hospital setting
