The ro le you’ll contribute:
Allied Health Professional who provides multi-campus leadership in the development of team education at the department level in compliance with regulatory agencies in conjunction with the hospital mission, leadership, and physician expectation. The Clinical Educator, Allied Health combines clinical expertise and passion for teaching in both the classroom and practice setting, preparing, and mentoring current and future generations of Allied Health Professionals. The Clinical Educator, Allied Health plays a pivotal role in strengthening the clinical workforce, serving as a role model, and providing the leadership needed to implement evidence-based practice.
The val ue you’ll bring to the team:
- Assists with students and practicing clinical professionals to identify their learning needs, strengths and opportunities and develop learning activities to grow skill set based on learning needs.
- Leads students/interns/apprentices within appropriate clinical department.
- Coordinates onboarding and orientation of new students and team members. Develops /coordinates education plans related to initial and ongoing competency validation.
- Develops/coordinates core education to address patient population-specific care.
- Develops/coordinates content for learning opportunities based on evidence-based practice.
- Develops/coordinates core education for the development of front-line leaders.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming.
- Adjusts content and teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs.
- Tracks educational offerings and shares with department leadership as needed.
- Provides educational opportunities that benefit clinical professionals in all stages of their career development.
- Assists in simulation and learning program development and operations.
- Follows learners consistently to ensure successful progression; ensures clear communication with department leadership.
- Effectively communicates department needs with campus and divisional leadership.
- Collaborates with clincal departments, Clinical Excellence, Quality, and Risk to identify opportunities. Conducts in-services to meet the needs of the clinical team.
- Participates in organizational committees/councils as assigned.
- Supports department leadership in standardization of policies and procedures.
Qualifications
T he expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years’ Allied Health Professional clinical experience
- Current State of Florida clinical license in an allied health profession e.g. Medical Laboratory Science, Radiographic Technology, Respiratory Therapy etc.
