Job Description:
- This APRN Position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our team at AdventHealth Medical Group.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality patient care, conducting thorough examinations, taking medical histories, maintaining accurate records, identifying health risk factors, prescribing medications, making referrals, and treating various health conditions.
- Surgical Assistance: Assist physicians with in-office procedures and may independently perform minor procedures, working collaboratively to ensure seamless patient care.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with courtesy when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering positive relationships within the practice and across departments.
- Collaboration: Maintain collaboration with assigned physicians in endoscopy or OR procedures depending on surgical specialty.
- Documentation: Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, ensuring continuity of care through effective management plans.
- Patient Education: Instruct and counsel patients, providing essential health education services and/or advising on healthy lifestyle choices to promote wellness and disease prevention.
- Professional Development: Commit to ongoing professional growth, completing mandatory educational requirements, maintaining certifications, and participating in conferences to stay current in the field.
