The role you’ll contribute:
To assist the patients on outstanding balances and to advise the patient of all options available so they are able to make a well informed decision as to how to handle the financial obligation by discharge. To review and process all charity applications timely to determine the patient’s ability to pay. To coordinate and maintain all charity programs.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· To assist outside agencies/vendors to ensure we have exhausted all other payer sources prior to a charity write off
· To complete Hardee County applications timely to ensure 100% of available indigent funds have been obtained.
· To ensure all charity applications are complete and meet criteria for annual and biannual audits
· To review all self-pay large dollar procedures prior to service to ensure payment or payment arrangements have been made
· To see all self-pay patients admitted to Heartland facility prior to discharge to determine their ability to pay
Qualifications - External
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Minimum 1 year of experience filing applications with Medicaid
