Full-time Faculty in Community Health Nursing
Walla Walla University’s School of Nursing seeks a dedicated and experienced nursing professional to join our faculty on our Portland, Oregon campus with a focus on Community Health. This role will involve teaching, mentoring, and preparing nursing students to excel in community settings and shape the next generation of nursing professionals. Responsibilities
- Teach courses in community / population / public health nursing and other nursing content areas as needed. This position may require teaching during select summer terms to support program offerings.
- Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings (students are typically placed in settings such as health departments, schools, clinics, shelters and social services agencies within the Portland metro area).
- Provide oversight and guidance to clinical faculty teaching within the course.
- Collaborate with community agencies to establish and maintain clinical partnerships.
- Advise and mentor students, fostering professional growth.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and program development.
- Participate in School of Nursing and institutional committees, meetings, and other activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive learning environment and address diverse learning needs.
