LOCATION SUMMARY:
Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. POSITION SUMMARY:
This a union-based role represented by SEIU. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provides direct physical care to patients encompassing the activities of daily living. Performs specific nursing procedures relevant to the nursing assistant scope of practice. Expected to float to any department once oriented.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Fluent in written and spoken English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Education and Work Experience:
- Passage of an approved Certified Nurse Attendant training program: Required
- One year of recent acute care CNA experience: Preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support Certification: Required
- Certified Nursing Assistant: Required
