Job Summary:
Responsible for administrative and professional duties that support childhood obesity prevention programs and other community health initiatives, as assigned. Responsible for day-to-day operations. Collaborates with Inland Hospital staff and community partners to advance policy and environmental changes that address healthy eating and active living through evidence-based strategies, programs and resources. Ensures program related activities are carried out successfully and in a timely manner. Serves as liaison to the greater community. Coordinates small program(s) with limited budget/impact.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Five years' relevant experience: Preferred
- Event/program planning and development experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with hospital staff, community sites and other personnel to support the implementation of evidence-based strategies and advancement of policy and environmental changes. Facilitates program work plan development, monitors progress to meet targeted goals and serves as liaison between obesity prevention programs and community organizations. Provides tools, resources, technical support and training to community and sector partners. Serves as a champion to implement obesity prevention programs and other community health initiatives, as assigned.
- Assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of major events, annual health fairs and other community health programs and events, as assigned. Demonstrates effective organizational and time management skills. Develops and uses survey tools to acquire relevant data that support program goals and health outcome measurements. Collects and analyzes project data and generates reports. Prepares written reports, minutes and other project-related correspondences for internal and external distribution. Participates in select work groups and committees.
- Communicates pertinent activities to directors, team leaders and other team members. Delivers timely responses or commitment to respond within specific time frames to all inquiries.
