Job Summary:
Implements, coordinates and administers various Human Resources (HR) policies and procedures related to talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, total rewards, employee relations and other employee processes. Collects and analyzes HR data and develops recommendations based upon findings. Provides internal HR consultation. Process information and paperwork for assigned functional area(s) and prepares employee communications for HR changes to policies, procedure and total rewards.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
- Three years' relevant experience: Preferred
- Experience as an HR professional or equivalent: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Certified in Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification : Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Ensures regulatory compliance by scheduling, administering and tracking new hire orientation including follow-up with leaders of outstanding or delinquent orientation checklists to include first day orientation, department orientation and general orientation. Performs a variety of administrative duties including, but not limited to, data entry and collection, filing, responding to customer telephone calls, scanning documents and facilitating correspondence. Backs up the front desk area and assists others throughout the department.
- Assists with the maintenance of integrity of all personnel files in compliance with legal and regulatory practices. Takes responsibility for a variety of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and measurable outcomes for leadership.
- Performs specific job-related duties including acting as a liaison with corporate centers of excellence such as integrated absence management to ensure effective oversight of employee leaves of absence; associate engagement activities; contractor compliance; performance management implementation; AQMD compliance and activities.
- Acts as a liaison between internal and external personnel. Tracks and reports on licensure and certification house wide in accordance with regulatory requirements. Assures that organization employment, labor relations and equal opportunity policies and practices comply with the applicable provision of federal and state laws. Assist in the research, planning, developing and implementing of new policies and procedures.
- Assists with special projects as needed. Actively participates in training. Researches and assembles materials for routine and special reports as needed. Assists in implementing employee engagement events such as service awards, hospital week, holiday celebrations and others.
