What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN, Nurse Lead, NICU, Full Time, Nights position at Adventist Health?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Works with Department Manager and Director to ensure the planning, coordination and provision of nursing care to patients on specified units and shifts. Supervises and delegates care responsibilities to nursing and ancillary personnel, commensurate with their scope of practice. Promotes the use of best practices in the delivery of patient care. Facilitates Lean Daily Management activities. Works collaboratively with leadership to promote professional nursing practice and behavior.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree or equivalent: Required
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN): Preferred
- Minimum one year of previous NICU experience: Required
- Previous charge nurse experience in acute care setting: Preferred
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current CA RN license: Required
- AHA-BLS-HCP: Required
- PALS: Required
- NRP: Required
- RNC: Preferred
