Adventist Health is seeking a motivated speech language pathologist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team in the Central Valley. Enjoy an excellent team environment working alongside highly skilled and collaborative physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists. Our team also includes rehab therapy aides to support you in providing high quality care and exceptional patient experiences. We are looking for mainly weekend coverage in our Hanford hospital (but could also include patient care at our Tulare, Selma, and Reedley hospitals) and can provide guaranteed work hours each pay period. Work requirement is a minimum of 1 weekend day each month with potential availability for weekday coverage if/when needed.
Benefits:
10% Per Diem differential/hour
Weekend differential of $4.35/hour
Job Summary:
Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Master's Degree: Required
- One year of inpatient speech language pathology experience: Required
Licenses/Certifications:
- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
- American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
Essential Functions:
Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment. Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments. Assists in data collection of patient outcomes. Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts. Supervises assistants and support staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
