Job Summary:
Oversees basic reception and customer services for guests of facility. Proficient in all aspects of essential duties for the role and acts as a subject matter expert for patients, co-workers and providers. Provides communication, information, assistance and coordination for all customer requests. Ensures patients/guests have a pleasant experience during their stay/visit.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Two years' relevant experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Assists with directing the flow of patients and visitors within registration and lobby spaces including providing directions, managing the number of patients and visitors in each lobby or registration space, providing general information and preparing individuals to receive patient care services.
- Issues a visitor badge and directs them to assigned rooms. Maintains visitation restrictions for confidentially patients. Assists patients with accessing services including assisting with directing patients who are leaving after receiving care.
- Provides administrative support by answering phone calls when needed, managing office supply levels and preparing patient care related documents as needed including literature and information sheets. Completes computer work when required including preparing files, pulling online and digital resources and using computer application systems to assist with patient care.
- Communicates to leadership ideas to improve operations. Participates in ongoing cross-services performance improvement teams. Assists with orienting and providing on-the-job skills training to others.
- Serves as a point of contact for questions and works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgement in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
