Job Summary:
Ensures cafeteria is clean and work stations are prepared. Restocks supplies in various locations, and performs cashiering functions to meet customer needs. ensures adequacy of supplies for dining rooms and locations of inventory are organized. Assists in tray line area, stocking, inventory and cart distribution. Assists with preparation and delivery of patient meals. Applies substantial knowledge of the job and experience to complete a wide range of activities with varying difficulty. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Two years' relevant experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- SERV Safe certification or equivalent: Required in OR
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
- OFH OR FH-efoodcard OR FH OR SERVSAFE: Required
Essential Functions:
- Performs proper cash register techniques and functions (i.e. charging and cash handling). Greets customers and offers assistance.
- Maintains proper care and handling of equipment. Uses correct serving utensils. Ensures set-up is completed prior to cafeteria opening for service.
- Maintains cleanliness of all cafeteria or dining room areas and ensures quality, presentation, and temperature of all cafeteria food items.
- Prepares meals using standardized recipes and serves according to dietary instruction using correct portion control.
- Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
