Job Summary:
Receives, inspects, counts and process all incoming supplies. Ensures proper rotation of all perishable and non-perishable food items. Documents all receipts and orders into computer tracking system. Maintains proper sanitation of storeroom, walk in refrigerators, freezers and surrounding areas. Applies substantial knowledge of the job and experience to complete a wide range of activities with varying difficulty. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Two years' relevant experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Orders food and food supplies that meet hospital food safety regulations and menu requirements.
- Monitors and ensures cleanliness of storage and inventory facilities.
- Handles, processes, and monitors all food orders in a safe manner. Maintains computer system for keeping track of food orders.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
