The Surgical Technician Role:
The Operating Room Specialist assists the surgical team in preparing for procedures in the operating room.
- Creating and maintaining a sterile field
- Retracting and passing instruments, supplies, and medications to surgeons during cases
Educational Requirements:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent (Preferred)
- Associate's/Technical Degree/Completion of Surgical Technician program or equivalent combination of education/related experience (Required)
