What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Tech, Full Time, Rotating Shift position at Adventist Health?
Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. POSITION SUMMARY:
Scrubs and assists the surgeon during operative procedures. Has the authority to transport, store or have access to medications within the scope of their practice and in compliance with law, as needed for the department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Education and Work Experience:
- Graduate of an approved Operating Room Technician Program OR two years minimum experience in the operating room as a scrub technician: Required
Licenses and Certifications:
- BLS through the American Heart Association: Required
