Job Title: Event Host

Position Reports To: Event Lead

Job Description: Who doesn’t love a great Birthday Party? If that’s you, do you want to get paid to host parties and events? We are looking for a Party & Event Host with a great personality and a big smile who enjoys working around kids of all ages. Our Party & Event Host will work with kids and adults to create a fun and engaging experience for event guests through courteous, friendly, and professional assistance while upholding Adventure Air Sports safety regulations. During a typical event, the Party & Event Host would greet the party and check them in, verify waiver compliance for everyone at the party, setup party area, serve food and beverages, cut and serve cake, MAKE A BIG DEAL of the guest of honor, clean up party area after the party, etc. As a Party & Event Host you will also be expected to assist with cleaning the facility common areas as needed. As an Event Host you will work with all teams to ensure that Adventure Air Sports is of the highest quality at all times by monitoring, analyzing, and improving the guest’s and teams’ experience for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Outgoing, energetic and friendly personality
• Ability & flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required | Saturdays Mandatory - Events are Weekend Heavy
• Communication, Organizational, follow-up, and multitasking skills are a must
• Willingness to learn operational platforms
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to handle large groups of children
• Ability to project voice and be heard in a loud environment

Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Create a fun environment by entertaining the party guests during their visit in the party area (singing, dancing, playing games, etc.)
• Maintain Adventure Air Sports policies and procedures in all aspects of the business
• Perform the functions of team members when necessary
• Engage guests in conversation
• Troubleshoot; appease unhappy customers (all ages) when situation arises
• Ensure the safety, cleanliness and overall appearance of our facility | Comply with regulations
• Up-sell additional food, party bags, treats, or other party specialty items
• Enforce and ensure ALL safety rules are followed, including waiver policy
• Ability to perform celebratory area inspections
• Embrace “no second chance for first impressions” in regards to overall guest experience
• Escort event guests from the party room/area to the court
• Perform custodial duties as required, ensuring the party area is cleaned before, during and after
• Ability to cut different types of cakes & Serve food/beverages

The Event Host must embody the highest possible standard in Guest Experience, Safety, Operational Excellence, and Team management to deliver unforgettable experiences to our guests and our teams; through strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to be innovative and fast-moving.

Adventure Air Sports offers a wide variety of outrageously fun activities and attractions. Hosting Birthday Parties; Corporate Team Building Events; & Other Special Group Outings. The Alpharetta Family Skate Center, The Cooler - Where Fitness Meets Fun is a sports center offering ice skating & hockey lessons & teams.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
