Service Technician
Job Summary
We have an immediate opening for a PDI Service Technician. This individual will perform regular inspections on unit inventory and diagnose any issues that need adjustment, repair, or part replacement. This person will also perform an occasional walkthrough with customers, explaining and demonstrating the use and function of components within the unit. Applicants must be familiar with the mechanical, structural, and automotive systems in travel trailers and fifth wheels. Applicants must also know how to perform a variety of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs and will be responsible for the routine maintenance of appliances and other internal components within the unit. Additional responsibilities will be required upon request. This position will be provided adequate training to become a certified technician.
RV Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Use a checklist to test the functionality of all interior and exterior components of the unit (when needed)
- Examine and report a written diagnosis of the complaint, cause, and correction of each issue discovered within a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) (when needed)
- Adjust, install, or replace any necessary parts to properly repair the unit
- Explain and demonstrate the use and function of the camper through a customer walkthrough (when needed)
- Perform regular maintenance, including washing the roof and body of the camper (when needed)
- Answer questions and provide guidance for current technicians
- Make relationships with current vendors and warranty representatives in technical roles
- Complete Master Technician Level 4 training certification provided by RV Technical Institute RVTI
- Sign a Non-Complete agreement
- Maintain an average collectible efficiency of 70% or more
RV Service Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Experience with car mechanics, plumbing, and electrical work required
- RV experience preferred
- Proficient with industrial tools and equipment
- Flexible work schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
