Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide assistance in the classroom, ensuring that students receive the guidance and support they need to succeed. This role is essential in fostering a positive learning environment for all students, particularly those with diverse needs.
Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Provide support to students with varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
- Engage in behavior management strategies to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Help with the development and execution of individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Facilitate small group instruction and one-on-one tutoring as needed.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
- Support children in daily activities, including toddler care when necessary.
- Collaborate with educators on curriculum development and lesson planning.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or skills in the following areas:
- Toddler care and early childhood education.
- Daycare settings and childhood development principles.
- Behavior management techniques tailored for diverse learners.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs.
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development strategies.
- A background in working with students of various abilities is highly desirable.
