Adventure Learning Center is a BCBA owned company in Colorado Springs offering both in home and center based services to children diagnosed with Autism or related disorders. We take a trauma informed, natural environment approach to bring about socially significant change, without making therapy uncomfortable or unenjoyable for our clients. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst, or BCBA, will be responsible for supervising RBTs in implementing treatment plans and conducting assessments (ABLLS/VBMAPP) during weekend hours (9am - 4pm on Saturdays).
The BCBA is to ensure the effective implementation of all treatment plans and programming for clients in center on that day. The weekend BCBA will not have an assigned caseload unless otherwise requested.
Fundamental Responsibilities
- Adheres to professional and legal requirements, the principles of behavior analysis and demonstrates sound professional judgment.
- Collaborates with families, caregivers and all service providers as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
- Performs direct and indirect assessments to identify the function of client’s behaviors.
- Supports in implementing current treatment plan provided to behavior technicians based on the functions of the behavior and treatment methodologies that are evidence-based.
- Adequately demonstrates their abilities to work effectively as a part of a clinical team.
- Supervises Registered Behavior Technician’s (RBTs) and graduate students throughout.
- Performs other duties as requested/assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have Master's degree in related field and BCBA certification number. Certification must be kept up to date.
- Must be able to identify and resolve obstacles in a timely manner; gather and analyze data; develop alternative solutions; must work well in group problem solving situations.
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Must write clearly and informatively; edit work for grammar and spelling and complete sentences; vary writing style to meet the needs of the agency/client; must be able to explain anything in reports in layman’s terms to families.
- Must follow policies and procedures; complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate parties if a deadline will not be met; support the organization’s goals and values.
- Must display original thinking and creativity; meet challenges with resourcefulness; generate suggestions for improving work, develop innovative approaches and ideas.

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
