We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Fleet Manager to oversee the maintenance, repairs, and overall readiness of our off-road rental vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will ensure our vehicles are safe, clean, and in top condition for customer use while managing a team responsible for fleet turnaround, servicing, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the off-road rental vehicle fleet.
- Manage and conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning, inspections, and, servicing.
- Schedule and coordinate vehicle repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure all vehicles meet required safety specifications.
- Track and document maintenance schedules, service records, and repair needs.
- Work closely with rental staff to ensure vehicles are available and customer-ready.
- Maintain an organized and efficient fleet turnaround process.
- Order and manage inventory of necessary parts and supplies.
- Train and supervise maintenance staff as needed.
- Conduct safety briefings for customers before each rental to ensure proper vehicle use and awareness of potential hazards.
- Perform vehicle recoveries and address on-site customer concerns efficiently.
- Provide damage assessments and cost estimates to customers in a clear, professional, and solutions-focused manner.
- Manage customer complaints with patience, professionalism, and problem-solving strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in fleet management, automotive maintenance, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair skills preferred.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and safety issues.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple moving parts.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Must be able to lift and move equipment as needed.
- Valid driver’s license required; experience operating off-road vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on seasonal demand.
