Duties
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Engage with children through play, educational games, and creative activities to foster social and emotional growth.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment regularly.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Observe children's behavior and development, documenting any significant changes or needs.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring proper nutrition for all children.
- Help manage behavior by implementing positive discipline strategies in line with our daycare policies.
Skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Experience in babysitting, nannying, or caregiving is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of preschool education principles and practices.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of childhood development stages.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among children.
- Experience with toddler care is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff members.
