Overview:
As we take our business into the future, we are focused on sharing our proud story. Ideal Material Handlers will be experienced forklift operators with material handling experience, having worked in a manufacturing production environment. Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as independently, in a fast paced, physically demanding, repetitive work environment. This will include heavy lifting. Attention to detail and safety is a top priority!
Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload trucks and verify items received, inspect for damaged freight.
- Responsible for loading and unloading oversize materials and finished product.
- Maintain inventory in an organized manner and be able to locate and distribute items as needed.
- Maintain a neat and clean workplace.
- Exercise safety at all times.
Skills & Experience:
- Highly skilled forklift operations (large materials preferably).
- Prior shipping and receiving experience.
- Inventory experience: Picking / Cycle Counting.
- Willing and able to work 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and mandatory overtime as needed.
- Must have demonstrated effective communication and teamwork ability.
- Customer focused and good follow-through on assignments.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to lift, move, maneuver up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to work on your feet all day in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, bend, twist, and crouch.
- Willing to work indoor and outdoor and in all weather elements.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
