Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team at a private school. This role involves working closely with lead teachers to implement curriculum, support students with diverse needs, and promote positive childhood development.
Duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles.
- Support the lead teacher in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Educate students on essential skills, concepts, and social interactions to promote their overall development.
- Work with children with disabilities, providing individualized support and encouragement.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster strong relationships and ensure student success.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the lead teacher as necessary.
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom that is conducive to learning.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills in special education and curriculum development.
Qualifications
- A background in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children, particularly in childcare or educational settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with special education strategies is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
