Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and educational experiences. This role requires a commitment to supporting the emotional, social, and cognitive development of each child while promoting a safe and inclusive atmosphere.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging curiosity, exploration, and creativity among children.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Organize and lead activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development, including sports coaching and theater arts.
- Provide support for children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance in their learning journey.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Experience working with children in various capacities such as childcare, tutoring, or coaching is highly desirable.
- Skills in behavior management techniques to effectively address diverse classroom dynamics.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff members.
- A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their growth and well-being.
- Valid Chauffeur's License is required.
