Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Workforce Technology Career Readiness Instructor to support participants in developing essential career readiness skills. This role will focus on preparing individuals for employment opportunities through personalized coaching, soft skills training and interview best practices, professional development. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, workforce development, and technology and can effectively engage with a diverse group of participants. The Instructor will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and group career coaching to help participants
- develop job readiness skills, including resume writing, interviewing, and
- professional communication.
- o Assist participants in identifying career goals and developing personalized career plans.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions focused on career readiness, job search strategies, and workplace expectations.
- Support participants in understanding and navigating career pathways within the technology sector.
- Deliver soft skills training, including communication, teamwork, adaptability, time management, and problem-solving, to enhance participants overall employability.
- Monitor participant progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to maximize learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, progress, and feedback.
Experience
- Experience working with underrepresented communities or individuals facing barriers to employment.
- Prior teaching/facilitating in front of a group
- Knowledge of career pathways and emerging trends in the technology sector.
- Familiarity with local workforce resources and employer networks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and mentor diverse groups of people.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports the growth of all participants.
- Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or higher
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.28 - $27.40 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 12 per week
