Accounts Receivable Specialist (Construction – Long Island City)
A successful Long Island City based construction firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their impressive team of professionals. The ideal candidate will possess skills and logic to be the driving force behind the firm’s accounting process. Responsibilities:
- Process and manage the accounts receivable in QuickBooks.
- Set up new projects and monitor the status of existing projects in the accounting system.
- Enter AIA information, generate and manage client invoices, ensuring timely billing and application of payments.
- Maintain project billing folders to ensure all invoices and other project related documents are readily accessible for project managers and the accounting department.
- Collaborate with project managers and office staff on billing and accounting tasks.
- Provide excellent client service in handling billing inquiries or payment follow-ups.
- Communicate with project managers regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals.
- Support other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of accounts receivable experience in construction, architecture, and/or engineering.
- Proficiency with Quickbooks and Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
- Polished and professional able to interface with all levels of staff.
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
Salary (Commensurate with experience level): $75,000 – 85,000 plus bonus, health benefits and paid time off.
