JOB DESCRIPTION
Taking full personal care of client in a facility or their own residence
Duties may include mobility support, assisting with maintaining personal hygiene by bathing, brushing their hair and teeth, or applying skincare
Vital piece of great in-home care, and they serve a double duty as emotional and physical support for both clients and their families
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be qualified in one of the following programs : Certified Nurse’s Aide Program or Home Health Aide Program or must have completed a 54-hour training program as a PCA provider.
- Completion of the facility’s Alzheimer Training Course.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work for extended period while standing and being involved in physical activity.
- Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis.
- Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
- Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
- Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
