Financial Planner Assistant
Heritage Financial Consultants, a successful wealth management and financial planning firm, is seeking an experienced professional to join one of their female advisor teams in the Hunt Valley, MD Office. The position is for a full-time Planner Assistant role. The Planner Assistant will support two women advisors to help them to grow their business by carrying out the following responsibilities:
§ Organize and schedule client meetings and appointments.
§ Answer client phone calls, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
§ Act as liaison between clients and the Financial Planner.
§ Execute client onboarding and maintenance activities utilizing CRM software and client record keeping tools.
§ Facilitate, manage, and resolve routine client service requests, including communications, meetings, webinar/virtual events, etc.
§ Perform account set-up and assist clients with operational information. Open and maintain client account records across various custodial platforms. Perform required follow-up necessary to ensure account is in order and approved through the custodian.
§ Submit and process certain operational requests as instructed by the Financial Planner and/or client. These may include: funds distributions, deposits of checks, journals, client and account updates, ACAT initiation and other operational tasks.
§ Remain current with continuing education and understand firm policy and procedures in an ever-changing regulatory environment. Assist in maintaining records required for compliance with securities laws.
This non-selling position is full-time, is compensated with a competitive base salary, will be eligible for a bonus structure with a very attractive overall benefits package described below. The role will also cover costs for education pursuing defined industry related licenses and/or designations, where appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Someone who wants upward mobility in the financial planning field
Licensing optional – Series 6 or 7, and life insurance.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in a professional work environment
Client service experience required
SKILLS
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Tech savvy; Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
Excellent communication and writing skills
Ability to meet deadlines
