About this role :

The Head of the Turnkey Asset Management Program (TAMP) is responsible for leading all aspects of the TAMP's investment strategy, product offerings, and operational excellence, as well as engaging with RIAs, broker-dealers, and banks on a variety of investment solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing effective sales programs, achieving annual targets, and delivering sales presentations or product demonstrations for complex sales initiatives at SEC registered investment advisers. This senior role also ensures the efficacy of due diligence on third-party managers and working closely with financial advisors to ensure the TAMP's solutions align with clients' business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in wealth management, portfolio design, and strategic leadership, and should be passionate about the intersection of investments and technology.

Responsibilities :

Business Strategy & Oversight

  • Develop and refine the TAMP's strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends and clients' objectives.
  • Provide oversight of the AEPS business, ensuring that all employees and program offerings adhere to regulatory requirements and uphold fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Establish, communicate and periodically review investment strategies, risk guidelines, and compliance standards to guide activities within the TAMP.

Investment Management Services

  • Participate in the Investment Committee which includes :
  • covering investment and trading activities including best execution and investment strategies available on AEPS Marketplace

  • conducting ongoing due diligence to assess performance, fees, and strategy consistency, recommending adjustments to the approved models and strategies in the AEPS Model Marketplace as necessary.
  • Support & Education

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for employees and financial advisors using the TAMP.
  • Have a deep / expert understanding of the technology platform and the ability to effectively demonstrate its features and compared to the competitive landscape.
  • Client Communication

  • Engage in consultative discussions / presentations with both clients and prospects to uncover opportunities to position AEPS capabilities to help them achieve their business goals.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Leadership and Alignment

  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure all aspects of the TAMP meet applicable regulatory standards, including adherence to fiduciary rules and conflict-of-interest policies.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to maintain clear processes and protect the firm's reputation.
  • Manage operational procedures and approvals to enable successful client due diligence reviews and regulatory audits.
  • Strategic Leadership & Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with sales, operations, product management and design to continuously enhance TAMP offerings and efficiencies.
  • Mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on innovation and service excellence.
  • Partner with AE Chief Growth Officer and Head of Marketing to position the business to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Required Skills & Experience :

    Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required; Master's degree or CFA / CFP designation
  • Series 65 required or must be passed within 90 days of hire
  • Wealth Management & Investment Expertise

  • 10 years of experience in investment management or wealth management involving managed account platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of asset allocation, investment strategies, investment products, model marketplace.
  • TAMP services including trade rebalancing, fee billing, performance reporting, UMA and pricing.
  • Strategic Leadership & Team Management

  • Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams within a financial services environment.
  • Demonstrable record of partnering with colleagues, industry partners and asset managers.
  • Ability to set clear objectives, allocate resources efficiently, and inspire team members to achieve business goals.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of SEC and other relevant regulatory requirements governing investment advisory.
  • Experience working within compliance and risk-management frameworks supporting a TAMP or similar platform.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills

  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex market data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to present investment strategies clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Client-Focused Mindset

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with advisors and their staff, focusing on delivering scalable solutions and client satisfaction.
  • Strong commitment to fiduciary duty, ethical practices, and building long-term relationships.
