At ATN we deliver exceptional title services by combining expertise, efficiency, and customer focus. As a Title Examiner, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Dive into public records to verify ownership and uncover defects and potential risks
- Analyze records, such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, plat and map books and court records, to determine ownership and legal restrictions and to verify legal description of property and completeness of records
- Prepare accurate title commitments and provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines
- Recognize title issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information and assist with curative efforts
- Collaborate with underwriters, escrow officers, and clients to resolve title issues
Qualifications:
- 5 years of title examination experience (agency or underwriter)
- Expertise in Illinois real estate law, title policies, and legal descriptions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- SoftPro and TitlePoint experience? Even better!
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- A customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
