THE ROLE
The Associate Creative Director at ADVOC8 can look at a challenge and leverage unique insights to craft a compelling creative approach as the foundation of the creative process. They approach projects with a relentlessly innovative mindset and are fluent in all things from contemporary culture to trends that are applicable to our clients and work. In this role, they would be expected to ensure that our work is on-strategy, on-brand, and creatively excellent, while always achieving our clients' goals. The projects we do are heavily experiential, so applicants with proven experience designing for physical builds and spaces, making floor plans, working with fabricators and directing renderings will be prioritized.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand project briefs and work in collaboration with Production and Client teams to translate insights into clear end user journey and creative execution.
- Help define the "what, where, when, why and how" of a project.
- Understand how a brand works, not just in experience but across the marketing mix, to inform the creative work better.
- Primarily lead client project work while also being willing to support business and proposal teams.
- Present and pitch creative work to clients and internal stakeholders as an individual or in collaboration with business leads and producers.
- Navigate challenging client feedback and team learning curves to uphold brand standards, push the quality of the creative work, and maintain positive / productive relationships.
- Participate in and lead creative ideation and brainstorming with team members.
- Manage, mentor and grow the design team members.
- Direct the creative process to advance the most impactful concepts forward and decide when other concepts are best not to pursue further.
- Work with full team to develop and implement effective processes and metrics.
- Help to build and maintain collaborative client relationships ensuring their goals are met, while also pushing creative boundaries that are rooted in strategy.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendor and contract partners, and ensure seamless integration into agency operations.
- Travel to and participate in site visits and walk-throughs as needed, and serve as on-site creative and brand subject matter expert.
- Bring big, bold ideas to the table that are impactful for our clients and impressive to the world at large.

We have transitioned from a once Washington D.C.-based agency to being Washington, D.C.-born. This position is not location-based, though travel will occasionally be required for project work and team offsites. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; at this time, we are not able to provide sponsorship.
