Our progressive, mission driven agency seeks a Finance Manager who will oversee all financial functions of a $2 million budget for an agency serving victims of domestic and sexual violence. The Finance Manager will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in fiscal operations. This includes maintaining the general ledger, managing accounts payable and receivable, overseeing payroll and benefits, reconciling accounts, and maintaining an auditable record of all financial activities. Qualifications
A combination of education and experience, including but not limited to:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of five years of experience in fiscal management, preferably within the charity or nonprofit sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in legal, audit, compliance, budgeting, and resource development functions.
- Experience managing complex funding structures, including federal and state grants.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting software, specifically QuickBooks.
- Demonstrated Excel skills, such as creating tables and charts, using formulas, and managing worksheets.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain accurate financial statements, projections, and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle stress effectively while meeting time sensitive deadlines.
- Capacity for independent work and sound judgment.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- A collaborative mindset and openness to diverse perspectives and problem-solving approaches.
Physical Requirements: Applicants must be able to ascend/descend stairs, sit and stand for periods of time, have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds to a height of 2-3 feet.

Benefits Package Includes:
- In 2025, the Advocacy Center pays $8,125 per employee towards individual health, dental and/or dependent care expense reimbursements
- Two weeks of vacation the first year increasing thereafter; 5 personal days in a calendar year; accruing 1 sick day a month.
- Staff receive holiday pay for 11 federal holidays, the day after Thanksgiving, and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (total of 16-18 days depending on the calendar)
- Retirement accrual of 5% of wages begins at 18 months and employees are vested at 3 years of employment.
