Building Maintenance Technician – Fond du Lac
ADVOCAP’s Shared Services Department is accepting applications for a full time Building Maintenance Technician. This position may be based out of our Fond du Lac location and will work in Fond du Lac, Green Lake and Winnebago counties using an Agency vehicle.
Responsibilities Include:
- Inspect, adjust and perform basic repairs and maintenance on Agency owned properties and grounds to include snow removal, lawn care, and landscaping, machinery and vehicles.
- Arrange of repairs by professionals as needed
- Assist with maintenance plans, schedules, set priorities, ensure labor and material cost is as contracted and prepare condition reports for management.
- Ability to work closely with tenants on best practices for renting, property care, and related life skills.
- Prepare rental properties after move-outs, including general maintenance, painting, drywall repair, detailed cleaning, and removing trash and other large items.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Basic construction or building maintenance knowledge preferred
- There are a multitude of physical demands for this position, such as exposure to extreme heat/cold.
- Climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials are required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record required
- Acceptable drug screen, physical, and comprehensive background check required
- Ability to be on-call on a 3-week rotating schedule. Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with information obtained
- Possess an understanding of poverty and the ability to be non-judgmental with those served
Salary and Benefits:
36-hour full-time work week position with a starting pay of $21.50/hour based on qualifications. This full-time position will have access to health, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, vacation, sick and holiday pay, and our employer contribution 401k.
