Volunteer Services Director – Oshkosh
ADVOCAP’s Volunteer Services program is accepting applications for a Volunteer Services Director. The Volunteer Services Director position provides leadership and management of senior volunteers in Fond du Lac, Winnebago, and Green Lake Counties. ADVOCAP places hundreds of senior volunteers in support of the missions of partner organizations. ADVOCAP also directly facilitates the involvement of senior volunteers who assist teachers and children in area schools, transport people to appointments, and link up with other seniors who are isolated and feel lonely. The Volunteer Services Director supervises six staff and is a member of ADVOCAP’s Leadership Team which influences Agency-wide polices and related matters.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead, manage, and supervise by ADVOCAP’s mission and corporate values
- Inform the community of ADVOCAP and senior volunteer opportunities and achievements
- Maintain participant records in compliance with funding source requirements
- Manage local, state, and federal contracts in support of department services
- Ensure Agency and grant goals are met, and reporting occurs on a timely basis
- Recognize and celebrate the collective and individual achievements of staff and volunteers
- Provide leadership in maintaining two effective program advisory committees
- Participate in Agency-wide events and attend Board of Directors meetings
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in a human services field or comparable experience, and at least three years’ experience in a supervisory/management level role
- Personal values which are congruent with ADVOCAP’s Corporate Values
- Demonstrated commitment to seniors and volunteerism
- Previous grant writing and grants management experience
- Budget development and budget management experience
- Ability to formulate and deliver quality public presentations
- Knowledge and understanding of poverty and issues that impact seniors
- Computer skills for word processing, data management, and electronic reporting
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license for personal work-related travel
Salary and Benefits:
Starting salary in the $ 68k range. This full-time position will have access to health, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, vacation, sick and holiday pay, and our employer contribution 401k.
