Major Responsibilities:

Collaborates with the Manager of Clinical Operations to provide leadership for the nursing associates and the interdisciplinary patient care team to support excellent quality of care to patients and family members.
- 3)Shares responsibility for nursing process and outcomes, providing staff performance coaching for process and quality improvement.
- 1)Acts as a role model and steward to the shared vision, mission, values, and service excellence of the organization and the Department of Nursing. In doing so, demonstrate the applications of the Quality Care Model.
- 2)Strives to install same values in associates and hold them accountable to the standards of service excellence and the professional practice of nursing.
- 4)Encourages staff to provide input and make decisions to improve patient and family care and the work environment.
- 5)Involves staff in project development and provide opportunities for professional development.
- 6)Promotes cohesive work teams and constructive conflict resolution.
- 7)Systemically evaluates the department's standards of care and scope of practice, redefining them when needed based on new evidence.
- 8)Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements that impact clinical services and professional practice.
- 9)Commits to regular time in the clinical area in order to maintain competence, working with associates to provide patient and family care.
Licensure:
- Nurse, Registered (RN)
Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Able to possess critical thinking and able to assess basic analytical and planning functions.
- Must have established a time frame to achieve certification in area of specialty.
