Job Description: Clinic Radiology Technologist
We are seeking a skilled Clinic Radiology Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic imaging.
- Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address questions or concerns.
- Select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provide patient radiation protection and safety.
- Identify patients, label images, and process radiographs to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Assist Radiologists, prepare records, and enter patient information into the radiology information system.
- Transport patients and perform lifting, pushing/pulling duties while utilizing proper technique.
Requirements:
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Competent in radiology positioning and techniques.
- Knowledge of basic radiation safety and radiology equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
- Ability to work independently and possess intermediate computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently.
- Able to stand/walk for majority of the day.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull with 30 lbs of force, and perform sliding transfers.
