Key Responsibilities:
- Performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures to evaluate the vascular system.
- Communicating effectively with patients and healthcare providers to obtain accurate information and provide clear results.
- Maintaining patient records and updating them accurately.
- Cleaning, preparing, and sanitizing transducers according to manufacturer recommendations and infection control standards.
- Providing technical support for the smooth operation of the Ultrasound Department.
Requirements:
- Registration with Abdomen issued by ARDMS within 3 months.
- Registration with OB/GYN issued by ARDMS within 3 months.
- Registration with RVT issued by ARDMS within 3 months or VS registration issued by ARRT within 3 months or RVS registration issued by CCI within 3 months.
- Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) registration with Adult Echo issued by ARDMS within 18 months or RCS registration issued by CCI within 18 months.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by AHA within 6 months.
Education/Experience:
- Graduate of AMA approved School of Ultrasound.
- Registered or Registry Eligible.
- 1 year experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent skills in performing abdomen, some OB/GYNE, some vascular and Small Parts ultrasound exams.
- Excellent knowledge in pathology in the named above.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Flexible working hours and on-call rotation.
- Good people skills and patient care skills.
