Job Title: Vascular Sonographer

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures to evaluate the vascular system.
• Communicating effectively with patients and healthcare providers to obtain accurate information and provide clear results.
• Maintaining patient records and updating them accurately.
• Cleaning, preparing, and sanitizing transducers according to manufacturer recommendations and infection control standards.
• Providing technical support for the smooth operation of the Ultrasound Department.

Requirements:

• Registration with Abdomen issued by ARDMS within 3 months.
• Registration with OB/GYN issued by ARDMS within 3 months.
• Registration with RVT issued by ARDMS within 3 months or VS registration issued by ARRT within 3 months or RVS registration issued by CCI within 3 months.
• Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) registration with Adult Echo issued by ARDMS within 18 months or RCS registration issued by CCI within 18 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by AHA within 6 months.

Education/Experience:

• Graduate of AMA approved School of Ultrasound.
• Registered or Registry Eligible.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent skills in performing abdomen, some OB/GYNE, some vascular and Small Parts ultrasound exams.
• Excellent knowledge in pathology in the named above.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible working hours and on-call rotation.
• Good people skills and patient care skills.
